Is there a particular reason why I don’t get responses to my posts? Is there something else I should be doing?
To ask them PIF in exchange of opening my card back up. I gave them the account number and was immediately told that I need to call another number. I searched the number and it looks like it belongs to CA. Then I called the Cap1 debt recovery number, and again, as soon as i entered the account number i was transferred to this CA. Cap1 still shows as OC and continues to report. This is for a charge off account from 2007. I wonder if Cap1 sold the account to CA. I would like to deal with OC and PIF if possible but it looks like i am too late. Any suggestions ? Thanks.
Okay, I just spent all morning writing 42 GW letters to Sears, Bank of America, Chrysler Financial & Capital One. Anyone have any luck with these lenders deleting lates? If so, please share your story, contacts etc. I would love to hear!
Â
Also, I sent 4 PFD – Capital Accounts, Financial Management & Associates, Hunter Warfield and Oxford Mgmt Services (Dell). Anyone ever have any luck with these CA for PFD? If so, I would love to hear it!
Â
Wish me luck. The first round of GW letters didn’t do a darn thing. Hopefully, these will work! Have a great weekend!
Would it be possible to open an old credit card account that had been closed for a while? Would it help my credit since I originally opened the account in 2001 and it is the oldest account on my report? It is a Capital One account. Has anyone had experience with that? Thanks!
I checked my EQ report today after paying down a credit card balance of $372. which left an account balance by statement post date of $31.00. I expected my score to increase a point or so and instead to my suprise my score dropped from 673 about 2 weeks ago.
Â
The only difference I could find on my credit report was under “understanding your score”
Â
673 Fico the 2 positives listed were 1) Bills paid on time; 2) Recent credit card use
Â
664 Fico the 2 positives listed are 1) Bills paid on time; 2) Many accounts paid on time
Â
Nothing had changed in the Whats hurting your score area.
Â
Â
I’ll have another $2,000 less in credit card debt tomorrow once my US Bank and and Best Buy reports.
Â
Can anyone explain the difference in the understanding your score and what potentially made my score drop?
Â
Â
Thanks so much!!

What do you do when the 3 credit bureaus are not following the law and you’ve reported them to the FTC and received no response? There are a number of hard inquiries on my husbands credit that are killing his score. We did not authorize these inquiries, we have asked the companies that did the inquiries to remove them. They told us to go to the credit bureaus, the credit bureaus told us to go to the companies. I’m exasperated with it! The FTC is back logged with complaints so there is no relief there. I’ve sent the companies and bureaus proof of identity, asking them to send me proof of authorization for the inquiry and gotten ping ponged.
Â
Thanks,
Erika
Hi,
I owe tax to IRS for a small amount I like to know if they will report this to the irs? Thanks
I am trying to clean up my Experian credit report and haven’t had much luck with them over the last couple years but thought I’d give it another try. I have one baddie that will fall off this october and have 4 medicals to try the Hippa Process again. I would like some advice on the following account.Â
Â
Negative:
Â
Â
Palisades Collection
Date opened:Â 8/2006Â (this date is not correct, it was opened in 2003)
Reported since:Â 08/2008
Type:Â Installment
Terms: 1 month
Paid 0 Balance
** OC = Verizon North (landline)
Â
This account is not showing to drop off of my report until 2/2012. I believe date 1st delinquency was around June or July 2004. Are they figuring the date from the CA or would this be the correct drop off date from the OC? Would this be worth sending a letter disputing the acuracy of the dates or should I just try a GW to the OC?Â

I spoke to CSC Credit Service today an affiliate of EQ I have to deal with because I live in TX. They told me collection companies have a choice on whether they post as a TL or as a collection account. I know that CANNOT be right.
Â
Please let me know if I’m right. CA are not supposed to report in the same area as your TL…
